 For centuries people have used oil on canvas as the medium of choice to turn memories into pieces of art that last for generations
without losing color. Much more so than photographs, oil paintings add depth of character to a subject and captivate the viewer. Once only available to a class of privileged few, Linden Alley is now making it easy and accessible for anyone to commission custom oil paintings of the highest quality. We take great pride in our work and ensure that everything is 100% hand-made by the most experienced artists using the finest materials (ie: Winsor
& Newton paints), and without the use of any digital tools.
Our Gallery contains some examples of
our previous work. Keep in mind that photos of art can’t come close to giving you the same sense of awe you feel when viewing it up close in real life. Our customers can look forward to a rush of joy when unpacking and seeing the piece of art first-hand.
It’s a very emotional experience seeing a picture of your loved
ones turned into a life-size piece of art. We delight in knowing how our products are received in their new homes and look forward to hearing stories from you.
Our History
Linden Alley was founded by German-American art-lover Peter Burchhardt with the
goal of making top-quality custom paintings available at
reasonable prices. A true multi-national, Peter grew up in
Germany, studied and worked in the US, and now lives in Asia
since 2006. He speaks and reads fluent Chinese. Living in
different cities around China, he saw the stunning amount of
highly talented artists concentrated there. There are gifted and
well-trained artists with few means to find customers for their
work. Some of their work is bought up by agents who then resell
for more than ten times the purchase value at galleries in
Europe, the US, and wealthy parts of Asia. Others work for big
companies creating artwork to furnish hotels and business
chains. Peter noticed an opportunity to use the Internet to
reduce layers of middle-men and put the best artists in more direct
touch with their customers. Linden Alley now makes it possible
for anyone to commission custom-made artwork from master
portrait artists,
no matter how far away they are.

 Artist Profile - Master Bie
Master Bie is one of the artists making Linden Alley
paintings. Born in the Gansu province of China, he studied fine
art at Lanzhou University and has been painting oil on canvas
professionally since 1987. With the Internet and Linden Alley,
Master Bie is now able to offer his services world-wide. |
